Join a leading tech brand's elite data team! As the Vice President of Data, you'll lead Analytics, Data Science, Machine Learning, and Experimentation. Shape the data strategy to unlock growth and gain a competitive edge. Your mission: create hyper-personalised mobile app experiences using first-party data, develop advanced marketing bid systems to target the perfect audience, and identify automation opportunities to boost team productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Leadership: Develop and implement a data strategy aligned with company goals, leading and growing a high-performing data team.
- Data Science & Machine Learning: Manage the deployment of advanced models to address business challenges, enhance customer experiences, and drive innovation.
- Analytics & Insights: Direct the analytics team to provide actionable insights for strategic and operational improvements.
- Experimentation & Data Governance: Foster a test-and-learn culture, oversee data quality and governance to ensure compliance and security.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Innovation: Collaborate with leadership to align data initiatives with business priorities, and stay updated on industry trends to identify new opportunities.
What We’re Looking For
- Extensive Experience & Expertise: 20+ years in data roles with e-commerce or marketplace experience (essential!); extensive expertise in data science, machine learning, analytics, and experimentation.
- Proven Leadership: Proven senior data leadership (managing 50+ head count) with a successful track record in developing impactful data strategies; strong leadership qualities in building and mentoring high-performing teams.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial acumen with the ability to apply technological advancements to solve real business problems.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of data systems, architecture, ML ops, and data governance, including privacy and regulatory requirements for the US, UK, and EMEA.Forward-Thinking & Qualified: A forward-thinker passionate about data trends and technologies; holds an advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
