With over 225 million unique monthly visitors globally, they have a unique blend of world news, entertainment buzz, pop culture editorial, female lifestyle content, and phenomenal images that keep readers coming back for more. Their advanced advertising program, incorporating nearly every form of advertising from mobile to social and video, assures a brand-friendly environment currently enjoyed by some of today's top global advertising brands.

 

Our client are looking for a talented SEO Editor to join their team, with key responsibilities that include conducting keyword research, optimizing headlines and article content for SEO, monitoring website analytics, and developing and implementing an effective SEO strategy to improve search rankings and drive traffic to their website.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting keyword research to identify relevant search terms and topics
  • Collaborating with writers and editors to optimize headlines and article content for SEO
  • Monitoring website analytics to track traffic, engagement, and other key performance metrics
  • Using SEO tools to identify opportunities for improvement and track progress
  • Developing and implementing an effective SEO strategy to improve search rankings and drive traffic to their website
  • Staying up to date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and digital marketing – alongside the ability to spot trends, identify traffic-driving opportunities and communicate those to the newsroom

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Significant media industry experience
  • Familiarity with a range of SEO tools (eg SEMRush, Google Trends, News Dashboard)
  • Make recommendations on SEO best practices and optimise stories
  • Sound understanding of Google Discover, Google News, organic search and Top Stories
  • Be an enthusiastic evangelist for SEO in the newsroom
  • Flexibility regarding shift patterns (evening and weekends will be required)
