Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager
2 x p/w in office in Edinburgh
This role offers the chance to work with a leading global travel brand. Since founding they have raised over £200m in funding & achieved global status and are now one of the leading travel & technology companies in the UK.
- You will own the In funnel (triggered) Lifecycle communication programmes such as ‘Onboarding’ ‘Retargeting’ ‘Price Alert’ & ‘Cross-sell’ communications. You’ll be responsible for the strategic development and traveller impact of these important, highly targeted & personalised programs.
- You'll be part of a collaborative, non-hierarchical team of 14-15 heads, where everyone contributes hands-on. Therefore, we're looking for an experienced manager ready to step up, balancing strategic leadership with hands-on implementation.
- We’re seeking a forward-thinking Lifecycle Marketing Manager. This role isn’t about building a CRM program from the ground up; instead, it’s about optimizing an existing, already sophisticated program to elevate it into an even more effective revenue-driving engine.
- The opportunity is immense: with a global database of 40 million customers, this channel already drives 50-60% of the company’s revenue. Their ambition is clear—to scale this revenue stream to £1.5M per month.
The Role:
- Own Lifecycle Programs: Lead strategic development and optimisation of ‘In-funnel’ communications, including onboarding, retargeting, price alerts, and cross-sell campaigns.
- Campaign Execution: Design and deliver email and push marketing strategies to boost engagement, retention, and repeat sessions.
- Performance Optimisation: Forecast, analyse, and optimise campaigns to meet targets and deliver quantifiable impact.
- Personalisation: Develop and refine targeted, traveller-focused communications using advanced segmentation and automation strategies.
- Testing & Experimentation: Implement and analyse sophisticated testing strategies to continuously improve channel performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, and Data teams to create compelling, data-driven lifecycle communications.
- Tool Management: Leverage and manage lifecycle marketing tools, with expertise in ESPs (e.g., Braze), segmentation, and automation.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear updates on progress, performance, and strategic initiatives to team members and senior stakeholders.
What You Bring
- Lifecycle Marketing Expertise: Extensive experience in email and push marketing, including campaign management, optimisation, and delivering KPIs.
- Data-Driven Approach: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to deliver insights that enhance customer engagement and retention.
- Tool Proficiency: Skilled with ESPs (experience with Braze preferred), workflows, personalisation, and automation. Knowledge of Tableau and Microsoft Office is a plus.
- Agile Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional, geographically distributed teams.
- Leadership & Mentoring: Experience managing and mentoring teams, fostering growth and collaboration.
- Strong Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to senior stakeholders.
- Organisational Skills: Strong project management abilities, including creating and maintaining roadmaps and backlogs.
